“ Great little youthful and artsy Mexican restaurant with a great balance of traditional and creative flavors, drinks, food, service, and ambiance were all on point. It's also located in a beautiful and walkable part of Berkeley. We particularly enjoyed the Chiles En Nogada Quesadillas, and our horchatas and mezcals were plenty tasty. ”
“ The cutest little eatery for tacos and margs! The ambiance and decor is fun and made for the best reading spot. The food also come out a minute after I sat down which was incredibly impressive. There was virtually no wait at all! This place is super chill with a fun vibe and I would come all the time if I lived in the area! ”
“ After many many door dash orders. Solid eats. Go tos: -enchiladas -lengua tacos Sat/Sun revelation today: -menudo, ooh so good and so many ingredients, fully loaded, def a meal, honeycomb tripe in every spoonful! Only available weekends Guacamole and chips are fine. Something about the guac - missing seasoning, lime, jalapeños - just flavor in general, prefer others like Cholita and Mesa Maguey Bonus: use better meat from Mary's and Niman. ”
“ We came here today for a quick lunch while we were looking at furniture stores for a new sofa. This seems to be a new location for this restaurant. It's very big but feels like a giant basement. Service is very fast. The front desk could be a little more friendly. Water is self serve. We tried a crunchy chicken taco which was pretty good. It came with a lot of pickled jalapenos. The battered fish taco was tasty but was not crunchy at all. The al pastor taco had very good flavor too but the texture was weird. This is one of the few restaurants in the area that has their own bathroom which is very convenient. Prices are very good but in order to get a plate with rice or beans, the Astros add up quickly. For sample enchiladas are $14. But beans is 3.75 and rice is 3.75 so that would add up to over $20 for a plate with rice and beans. I think the flavors are interesting at this taqueria. I will definitely come back here again to try other things. ”
“ I've been wanting to try Tacubaya for quite some time now on 4th Street, Berk. What a fun treat! If you haven't visited 4th Street in a while, there are a few new shops/restaurants to check out. Tacubaya has been a staple for a bit of time and upon walking in, you're greeted by vibrant colors, atmosphere, and beautiful indoor dining aesthetics. This is an order-at-register type spot with a wide array of fresh Mexican dishes and flavor options. Our party ordered fish tacos, guac & chips, ensalada de primavera, and chicken enchiladas. To note, the plates are mostly served a la carte, so def. something to keep in mind if you're with a large group and want to explore your tastebuds! Besides lunch, they also serve brunch options, happy hour, dinner, dessert, and a beautiful beer/wine/cocktail menu. The food was delicious, enchiladas were clean and tastefully done. Huge fan of table guac and this didn't disappoint. Looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu and with the weather starting to improve, sit outside. Plenty of street parking and a lot outside of restaurant (does get busy, so plan ahead!) ”
